Layer it up!

Layering is a big trend this year! Almost all the jewellery brands have created necklaces that are suitable for this trend. If you own two necklaces or more that are made with the same metal, you are ready to style them!

The most important thing is that you should check the quality of the metal used and also the colour of the metal that fits perfectly with the shade of your skin. Ideally, a sterling silver or a clear gold metal will be very good, especially for those of you who have skin issues with the mixed metals. Otherwise, if you do not have any problems with the metal type, you can opt for everything, such as gold filled metal, gold plated metal, rose gold plated metal etc. As far as the skin tone is concerned, according to my opinion, if you have a whiter skin is better to go for a sterling silver or a yellow gold metal, and if you have a darker skin tone is better if you go for sterling silver or a rose gold metal. 

Let's have a look now at the necklaces that I prefer the most for layering. On the photo below you can see a longer chain necklace depicting a British penny in gold plated sterling silver metal and a shorter chain necklace with hanging metal decorations in the same kind of metal as well. Both of them are from Grecian jewellery. I really like them because they are so easy to wear and you can match them with everything. You do not have to wear a V-necklace shirt or dressbut you also use them with a high neck sweater, dress or shirt. Do not forget that you mix more than 2 necklaces as well, if you love layering! Be careful not to overdo it. It is preferable if all the necklaces are easy to see.
