Aragonite style of necklace (+video)

Aragonite is one of the three most common naturally occurring crystal form of calcium carbonate. How fascinating is this?! Its name is derived from its type area, which is Molina de Aragon in Spain.

This crystal, is not used that often on gemstones, because it shows a low hardness, around 4 at Mohs scale. However, its crystal form is so eye catching, thus is perfect for gem hunters! Moreover it shows a variation of colours, such as brown, orange, yellow, red, white etc. On the photo below, an aragonite crystal from Morocco, which has a typical twinned crystal form is shown.

Rarely you can find aragonite crystals set in pieces of jewellery. However, once you are a jewellery passionate kind of person, you will find the one that fits you the most! That is me, definitely. The necklace below is by Amicajewels in gold plated metal is one of my all time favourites. It can be worn with simple kind of shirts or t-shirts or even with stripes or polka dots and add the extra something that you always want from your outfit. It adds sparkle, colour and makes it more stylish, than it would be in case you had worn no necklace. The fact that is rare to find also makes it more special.
