Tourmaline Crossed the Line πŸ‘Œ

Tourmaline is one of these gemstones that come in so many different colours, because it has different varieties. So, a piece of jewel mixing up all the range of tourmalines is like a rainbow!

First things first πŸ˜‰! Tourmaline may occur in many different colours, such as red, black, dark blue, bright electric blue, green, yellow, orange and also there is the watermelon tourmaline, which is parti-coloured pink and green. So, if you own a watermelon tourmaline you have one gemstone with two colours, how amazing is this?! Generally tourmaline has a hardness of around 7 to 7.5 at Mohs scale. It can be found either as a faceted style or as a cabochon cut. As a crystal, it belongs to the trigonal system, showing prismatic habit and pyramidal faces. On the photo below you can see a schorl tourmaline crystal, which is the black variety of tourmaline.

Tourmalines acccording to their colour might have a different name, such as rubellite which is the red variety of tourmaline or the famous Paraiba tourmaline which is prized for its bright electric blue colour and it is an expensive gemstone!

Moving on to jewellery the following pair of cluster earrings is like the rainbow that I mentionned above! Thus it is made in sterling silver metal  and it is comprised of faceted round cut pink, yellow, green, orange and blue tourmalines which are surrounded by round cut cubic zirconia designed and handcrafted by Adina stone jewellery. This pair of earrings looks so formal, chic and all time classic at the same time and it can be worn all day depending on your outfit. For example it looks great with a female suit in blue, grey or brown colour but it can also be worn with a shirt and pair of jeans. One thing is certain, this pair of earrings will make you feel that you are shining!
