Trend Colours of Spring 2020 in Gemstones

If you noticed shades of blues, greens and orange are so much in fashion at the moment! As you all understand, gemstones couldn't be missing from this 2020 Spring trend.

Iolite has a deep purplish blue colour and it presents a very strong pleochroism. Its pleochroic colours are violet, blue and pale yellow. Its hardness at Mohs scale is around 7 and can originate from Madagascar, Myanmar,India,Norway and Sri Lanka. This interesting effect makes this gemstone unique. Due to the fashion trend colours of 2020, iolite can be used as a huge trend in jewellery as well. Indeed, the pair of earrings by Gemporia shown below, with a geometric shape in a sterling silver metal featuring 16 square cut iolite gemstones each, is perfect for you stylish outifts. I believe that you can match with neutral colours, such as white and beige, with pink colours, silver tones, yellow shades and why not orange and green as well, depending on your outfit vibes.

Something that need to be mentionned at this point is that jewellery pieces by Gemporia always come with a certificate card, featuring all the details of the pieces. As I have already stated on previous posts, this is very important, because you need to be sure that what you buy is what they tell you it is. Natural gemstones are pretty and desirable, thus you can ask for a certificate before you buy jewellery pieces or ask a gemmologist to test the gemstone and offer you an invoice about it. Lastly, when you place an order though Gemporia, your pieces arrive at home in a pouch for safety reasons, as shown below.

Next comes a gemstone called andalusite. Have you ever heard of it? It displays a green to reddish-brown colour which can be seen with the unaided eye, when the stone is viewed from different directions. Testing gemstones and learning about their different characteristics is what I love most about being a gemmologist! This gem has a hardness around 7 at Mohs scale and can be found in Brazil, Spain, France and Sri Lanka. It can be set in all the types of jewellery, however I prefer it as a ring. This beauty shown below by Gemporia is in sterling silver metal featuring 4 oval cut andalusite gemstones. If you like rings with natural gemstones, but you don't want to wear one which looks like an engagement ring, then this is perfect for you. It is wearable, affordable and easy to match with other rings that you might already have bought. If you want take a closer look on the video below, to check andalusite's colours.

You can check Gemporia's website to find more pieces with iolite and andalusite and make your very own choice according to your personal taste. A good tip is to add jewellery to your collection that you will be able to wear though the years. You can own some statement pieces, according to fashion trends and match them with your all time classic ones. I mean, how simple and elegant can that be?!
